Why We Retreat

Welcome to the Raw and Wild Hearts Podcast episode ‘Why We Retreat’, coming off of a big ole spirit high of my annual Awaken Your Fire Mexico Retreat. Today I want to explore not only the reasons, but also the necessity of normalizing retreat experiences in our lives. It’s important that we pay attention to the language we use and vibration we create around soul care, personal alignment and sacred circles.

The power only grows when we believe deeply in why we came here and how these are the spaces designed to amplify that truth. It is our birthright to come together in ceremony, ritual and reverence. It is our journey to heal, evolve and ascend. It is in intention and community that it all comes together.

I am coming on to share the energy, healing and light that has been summoned through this very special circle, our guides and the land with deep messages that have reverberated as a result. That healing is now activated in every acupuncture point of the world that we have come back to. The transformation has impacted our relationships and community. Our creation and imagination is expanding higher. The light is forever in our frequency moving forward healing lineage wounds, generational pain for all those to come.

This important conversation is not just for parents, it’s for everyone. We will begin to shed light on how we create our world through the way we support our birthing mothers and families. There’s definitely heart and humor in this beautifully woven story that unfolds.

We will hear from a mother and father that were thrust into a fear and intervention based system when their waters broke at 34 weeks pregnant. They will be talking about how they successfully protected their birth and maintained it as a celebratory, sacred and spiritual occasion. I will be touching on the gravity of how we treat birth in this culture and how it creates, changes and shapes who we are as humans. We’ll get a glimpse of their intimate birth journey where they remained the principal decision-makers in their birth. We will also chat about the role their independent hypnobirthing class and preparation played and how they worked together in becoming a strong and unified family when being faced with surprising turns in their birth journey.
