Why We Retreat

Welcome to the Raw and Wild Hearts Podcast episode ‘Why We Retreat’, coming off of a big ole spirit high of my annual Awaken Your Fire Mexico Retreat. Today I want to explore not only the reasons, but also the necessity of normalizing retreat experiences in our lives. It’s important that we pay attention to the language we use and vibration we create around soul care, personal alignment and sacred circles.

The power only grows when we believe deeply in why we came here and how these are the spaces designed to amplify that truth. It is our birthright to come together in ceremony, ritual and reverence. It is our journey to heal, evolve and ascend. It is in intention and community that it all comes together.

I am coming on to share the energy, healing and light that has been summoned through this very special circle, our guides and the land with deep messages that have reverberated as a result. That healing is now activated in every acupuncture point of the world that we have come back to. The transformation has impacted our relationships and community. Our creation and imagination is expanding higher. The light is forever in our frequency moving forward healing lineage wounds, generational pain for all those to come.

Dr. Peter Borten has been helping people achieve whole health for 20 years. He has degrees in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Classical Five Element Acupuncture and is a certified Qigong instructor. Peter has written hundreds of articles on all aspects of wellness and created online courses in nutrition and pain management. He taught Daoist philosophy and Five Element theory at Lewis and Clark College and has worked as a clinic supervisor at National University of Natural Medicine and Oregon College of Oriental Medicine.

I am so thrilled to be sharing our powerful conversation that works to break down fear, provides practical information including how to support your immunity and empower your longterm health in the process! We start with understanding what viruses are and how they differ from bacteria. We really get into the most important ways to support your body-mind-spirit in immunity health that come from you and cost no money.

I wanted to share some thoughts on my personal experience with the abrupt life changes recently and how I was able to navigate them, as well as that the strength I found is coming from the power of people. Our communities are strong and they are shining their strengths greater by the day. I also felt like it was important to put out a fear release and empowerment meditation, especially in a time where surrender is our greatest ally. This is preventative healthcare. We must be the principal players in how we can help ourselves at a cellular level. As we move through these rapidly shifting spaces, it is in finding our center that will keep our immunity strong, our spirits high and our resilience available.
